Presented at the Mosman Art Gallery, the Mosman Art Prize Viewers’ Choice Prize was received by 30-year-old Carla Hananiah, who took home a $1,000 cash prize from sponsor Mosman Art Society, for her successful artwork Mercy Comes with the Morning.
Hananiah’s nature-inspired piece featuring a marbled sky received an overwhelming number of votes and stood out from 100 other entries. Mercy Comes with the Morning reflects pure colours and spiritual connections with place and atmosphere, and is a creative response to poetry and lyrics.
