Marriner Group

Ticketing Services Specialist

Marriner Group is seeking an experienced Ticketing Services Specialist to oversee ticketing operations across some of Melbourne's most loved venues.

Ticketing Services Specialist

Marriner Group is a dynamic Australian‑owned company, managing five world‑class entertainment and event venues including the Princess Theatre, Regent Theatre, Comedy Theatre, Forum Melbourne, and the Plaza Ballroom. Based in Melbourne’s CBD, our venues host some of the world’s most acclaimed live performances, productions, and events.

We are seeking an experienced Ticketing Services Specialist to oversee ticketing operations across Marriner Group venues. This is a hands-on operational and systems-focused role for someone with strong ticketing experience, excellent attention to detail and a deep understanding of how ticketing systems support successful event delivery.

Based at Marriner Group’s Head Office, the role suits a confident ticketing professional who enjoys working across systems, event builds, producers, promoters, venue teams and internal departments to ensure ticketing operations are delivered accurately, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the Role

The Ticketing Services Specialist will manage the operational delivery and quality assurance of all event builds within a self-service event build environment, ensuring events are configured accurately and efficiently across all ticketing systems. Responsibilities include oversight of ticket builds, pricing structures, allocations, seating configurations, holds management, on-sale preparation, settings and login administration and ticketing operational procedures.

The role is the in-house subject matter expert on our ticketing platform, acting as the bridge between operational users and the underlying technology. This includes a working understanding of how ticketing systems integrate with adjacent platforms via open API architecture including website, CRM, payments, access control and reporting – and the ability to hold informed conversations with vendors and technical partners on integration behaviour, data flows and system behaviours.

Working closely with producers, promoters, venue teams, customer service and internal departments, the role will ensure all ticketing operations are delivered to a high standard while maintaining operational consistency, compliance and strong customer outcomes.

The role will also support ongoing process improvement, staff training, reporting and the development of ticketing procedures and systems documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Ticketing Operations and Event Builds

  • Oversee ticket builds across Marriner Group venues, ensuring accuracy across pricing, allocations, holds, seating configurations, packages, pre-sales and on-sales requirements
  • Review and quality check event builds, manage allocations and seat holds, and support accessibility ticketing requirements
  • Monitor ticketing activity, troubleshoot operational issues and support the successful delivery of new events and venue requirements

Systems, Reporting & Procedures

  • Act as the in-house ticketing system expert, maintaining strong knowledge of system configuration, functionality and best practice.
  • Maintain an understanding of system integrations across websites, CRM, payments, access control, reporting and other connected platforms
  • Contribute to workflow improvement, process development, system enhancements and operational consistency across venues
  • Maintain ticketing procedures, operational documentation and reporting, while assisting with financial reconciliation and system monitoring

Staff Training & Support

  • Provide training, guidance and operational support to ticketing and box office teams across systems, event builds and procedures
  • Support internal stakeholders to resolve ticketing challenges and deliver strong customer outcomes

About You

You are an experienced ticketing professional with a strong background in ticketing operations, ticketing systems or live entertainment ticketing. You are highly organised, systems-minded and confident working with detailed event information, competing deadlines and a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a ticketing operations, ticketing systems or live entertainment ticketing role
  • Strong understanding of theatre and live music ticketing practices, including event builds, allocations, holds management and on-sale processes
  • Experience using ticketing systems and associated operational platforms
  • High-level attention to detail and the ability to review and quality check information accurately
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem solving capability and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues effectively
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support staff across systems, processes and event requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated business systems
  • Working understanding of system integrations, open API environments and the flow of data between connected systems

Experience working within a self-service ticket build environment, developing operational procedures, training documentation and SOPs, providing operational guidance and training to staff, and supporting ticketing operations within multi-venue or high-volume environments will be highly regarded. Exposure to integration platforms, reporting or BI environments, web technologies and accessibility ticketing practices will also be beneficial.
