Musica Viva Australia(MVA)is seeking a Manager, Special Projects & Regional Touring to lead our regional touring program, manage special performance projects, and oversee the Janette Hamilton Studio at our Zetland headquarters.

Reporting to the Director of Concerts and Communities, you’ll work closely with artists, presenters, partners, and internal teams to deliver high-quality musical experiences that connect communities across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage regional touring programs and special performance projects.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional presenters and partners.

  • Coordinate artist engagement, tour logistics, contracts, budgets, and reporting.

  • Identify and develop new touring opportunities and partnerships.

  • Oversee the day-to-day management and strategic development of the Janette Hamilton Studio.

  • Collaborate across Artistic, Marketing, Operations, Development, and State teams.

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience in project management, event coordination, touring logistics, or arts administration.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience working within the performing arts sector, ideally classical music.

  • Strong Microsoft Office/365 skills.

  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.

  • Understanding of regional communities and audiences.

  • Experience in audience development or arts marketing.

  • Experience with performance lighting or audio systems.

  • Excellent knowledge of classical music (including at least two years’ professional experience)
