Your role 

As our Manager, Music, you will grow and build the long-term sustainability of the music sector by shaping policy and implementing strategies across investment programs and key initiatives and provide expert guidance across music, to inform sector engagement and strategic priorities that reflect Creative Australia’s strategic objectives.  

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing expert advice in music practice to shape and influence program development, partnership delivery models and sector initiatives, ensuring decisions reflect and align with sector priorities
  • Providing subject matter expertise in music in the assessment of applications that informs program delivery and investment decisions that align with strategic objectives
  • Cultivating relationships with a varied range of stakeholders to remain responsive to current trends, challenges and opportunities in music practice and approaches
  • Managing relationships with music organisations receiving multi-year investment through the National Performing Arts Partnership Framework, Four Year Investment, and Delivery Partners, providing advice and insights to help shape their programs and artistic and organisational plans
  • Partnering with key stakeholders in the Arts Investment division as well as other artform experts to highlight priorities, development opportunities and environmental considerations
  • Identifying, assessing and managing risks in relevant programs and decisions, ensuring mitigation strategies are embedded in the planning and delivery stages
  • Working with the Public Affairs team to inform political advocacy activities at local, state and federal levels
  • Preparing relevant briefings, reports, and presentation for a diverse range of stakeholders including the other government departments and agencies as required
  • Undertaking continuous scoping, planning, refinements of programs and projects, providing recommendations to the Director Multi-Year Investment.
  • Collaborating with the Evaluation team to measure and report on impact and outcomes of relevant project and programs

  • Salary of $132,090 + 12% superannuation
