ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and strategic Development and Partnerships Manager to join our passionate and ambitious team.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the organisation’s fundraising, philanthropy and stakeholder engagement activities, building meaningful relationships that generate sustainable support for South Australia’s emerging creative talent.

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Foundation Board and colleagues across programs, marketing and communications, you will develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, cultivate major donors and corporate partners, secure grant funding, steward philanthropic relationships and deliver exceptional stakeholder experiences through communications and events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, philanthropy, sponsorship, or partnerships in the arts, education, higher education or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, government representatives and senior executives.
  • Demonstrated success preparing high-quality grant applications, funding proposals or sponsorship submissions.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare persuasive proposals, reports and professional correspondence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the confidence to represent an organisation at senior stakeholder meetings and public events.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience planning and delivering stakeholder or fundraising events.
  • High level organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) or similar stakeholder relationship databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both strategically and operationally within a small, collaborative team.
