Chief Executive Officer

Rare opportunity for an inspiring and strategic leader to shape the future of Australia's leading First Nations performing arts training organisation

  • Australia’s leading First Nations performing arts training organisation for 50 years
  • Sharing First Nations story, culture and creative expression in Australia and the world
  • A rare opportunity for an inspiring and strategic leader to shape the future of NAISDA

Since 1976, NAISDA has led the way in excellence in performing arts education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

NAISDA offers professional expertise and world class training facilities to deliver accredited training programs that are rich in cultural learning and practice. Located on Darkinjung land just north of Sydney, we provide a creative learning space designed to inspire and equip Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people for the future.

NAISDA places culture at the core of how we support and educate our young people. Our unique learning model, delivered in partnership with First Nations Knowledge Holders and communities, has transformed lives, nurtured generations of artists and leaders, and made a lasting contribution to Australia’s creative and cultural landscape. Our graduates are innovators and changemakers, sharing First Nations story, culture and creative expression on stages throughout Australia and the world.

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we do so with confidence and purpose. As part of a planned executive leadership transition, the successful candidate will work closely with the Board to translate NAISDA’s vision into clear strategic priorities, strengthen organisational capability and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture that enables staff, students and stakeholders to thrive.

We are looking for a CEO who will drive NAISDA’s sustainable growth while ensuring educational excellence, regulatory compliance and further strengthen NAISDA’s impact across communities, the vocational education and training sector, and Australia’s creative industries.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead, guide and nurture Australia’s premier First Nations performing arts training institution.

We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply
