Pitch Projects
Campaign Coordinator
Join Pitch, a women-led PR agency supporting arts, policy and advocacy clients to shape culture and national conversation.
Campaign Coordinator, PITCHSouth Melbourne | Full-time | Hybrid (WFH + office)
Pitch is a small but mighty team of strategic communications and media professionals working across culture, policy and advocacy. We work with arts organisations, publishers, government departments, public institutions, universities, business and not-for-profits — and we believe in the power of art, culture and thoughtful policy to shift perspectives, spark important conversations and challenge the status quo.
We’re looking for a Campaign Coordinator to join our team, working with a diverse list of clients and a mix of talent and campaigns. From confirming a major television interview with a household name to planning a national author tour to rallying content creators around a prize or festival or ensuring every newsdesk has a landmark new report, our work is dynamic and shapes culture and conversation.
About the role
The Campaign Coordinator supports all Pitch campaigns as well as the business itself. You’ll be drafting media materials, developing and monitoring social content, coordinating media outreach, and liaising with talent and clients. Depending on your experience, you might handle discrete elements of shared campaigns, or take the lead on running your own.
This is an early to mid career role — a great next step for someone in an entry-level position, or an early-career professional looking to build experience across the breadth of Australia’s publishing, cultural and media industries, in a down-to-earth, collegiate team.
What you’ll do
- Write, draft and proof media materials
- Maintain media and audience contact lists
- Draft media, social and content strategies and campaign reports
- Coordinate media outreach
- Liaise with talent and clients
- Plan and coordinate events
- Support social content creation and day-to-day management of Pitch’s channels
- General office administration, as needed
What you’ll bring
- An undergraduate degree in media, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–4 years’ experience in PR, communications or publishing
- Solid knowledge of Australian media outlets and the broader media landscape
- Copywriting and editorial experience, including proofing and editing to style
- A genuine interest in social media, current affairs and the cultural landscape
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Confident interpersonal skills, including on the phone
- Familiarity with tools like MailChimp/Campaign Monitor, Canva and GSuite
Bonus: experience managing talent or client relationships, running events, managing social media/scheduling, WordPress, contact list building, or prior experience in arts, publishing, public sector or advocacy work.
