About the Role

The Executive Producer – Out of the Box is a unique opportunity to lead the planning and delivery of one of QPAC’s flagship festivals. Working closely with the Director, Creative Learning and Community Engagement, you will provide strategic leadership across festival planning, project delivery, stakeholder engagement and team leadership to bring this much-loved festival to life.

As the Executive Producer – OOTB, you will:

  • Lead the planning, project management and delivery of the Out of the Box Festival and associated engagement activities

  • Provide leadership and direction to a dedicated festival team, ensuring successful delivery across multiple projects and venues

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with artists, companies, communities, sponsors and key stakeholders

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across QPAC to deliver an outstanding festival experience

  • Oversee festival budgets, governance, contracts and reporting to ensure strong commercial and operational outcomes

  • Support audience development, marketing initiatives and community engagement opportunities

  • Drive the successful delivery of new works, productions and festival experiences to the highest standard

About You

You are an experienced arts leader with a proven ability to deliver complex festivals, productions or major projects from concept through to completion. You thrive in collaborative environments, building strong relationships and leading teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

You are a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance competing priorities while fostering creativity, innovation and collaboration.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience leading complex arts, cultural or live event projects

  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders

  • Strong project management, budgeting and governance capability

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple priorities and deliver successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment

  • A collaborative approach and passion for creating exceptional arts experiences
