Overview

A Melbourne-based recording artist with a rapidly growing international audience is seeking an experienced Brand Manager for a 6-month part-time fixed-term contract to help shape the next stage of an exciting global career. This role is responsible for developing and executing a cohesive brand strategy across music releases, touring, digital platforms, partnerships and audience engagement. Working closely with artist management, you will lead release campaigns, oversee creative direction and ensure every fan interaction reflects a consistent, authentic and culturally relevant brand. You’ll collaborate with labels, booking agents, publicists, designers, photographers, videographers and commercial partners to deliver high-quality campaigns and long-term growth opportunities. This is a dynamic, hands-on position suited to someone who combines strategic thinking with strong project management skills and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy

  • Develop and implement the overall brand strategy.
  • Maintain consistency across all brand touchpoints including music releases, touring, social media, merchandise, partnerships and media.
  • Protect and evolve the artist’s visual identity, messaging and positioning.
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities that enhance cultural relevance.

Campaign Management

  • Lead release campaigns from planning through to execution.
  • Coordinate creative assets, timelines and stakeholders.
  • Develop marketing calendars and campaign strategies.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.

Audience Development

  • Grow domestic and international audiences.
  • Develop fan engagement and community initiatives.
  • Identify creator and influencer collaboration opportunities.
  • Build long-term audience loyalty across digital platforms.

Partnerships & Commercial Opportunities

  • Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships.
  • Manage sponsorship and brand collaboration opportunities.
  • Develop commercial initiatives aligned with the artist’s brand and values.
  • Support merchandise and licensing opportunities.

Creative & Content Management

  • Brief and manage photographers, videographers, designers and creative agencies.
  • Oversee brand assets and digital content.
  • Ensure consistency across websites, social media and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate marketing collateral and media assets.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong understanding of artist development and brand management.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of partnerships and sponsorship.
  • Confidence interpreting data and campaign performance metrics.
  • Passion for music, culture and audience engagement.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of streaming platforms and digital marketing.

Location

East Brunswick, Melbourne — Hybrid. Onsite Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (11am–5pm); remaining hours worked from home.

Employment Type

6-month fixed-term contract — part-time, 22.8 hours (3 days equivalent) per week. Core onsite hours are 11am–5pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in East Brunswick, with remaining hours worked flexibly from home. Additional hours during release and campaign periods by agreement.

Salary

$105,000 – $120,000 per annum, pro rata (part-time).
