What is an outsider?

A new art exhibit dispels common myths surrounding the artist as an outsider.

A new exhibition entitled Everyday Imagining: New perspectives on Outsider Art will be on display later this year in conjunction with a complementary international conference on the genre.

The exhibit will work to challenge pre-existing ideas of what defines ‘outside art’, revealing contemporary Outsider artists whose work breaks down many commonly-held assumptions.
