Stone Villa Studios is hosting its annual Vortex art award, but this time it comes with a quirky difference! This year, the prize will be awarded for the best wearable art – described by those at Stone Villa as ‘sculpture on the body’, perhaps demonstrating that they have not entirely broken ties with the traditional outdoor sculpture competition.

Artists have been asked to send in proposals of fewer than 100 words, a curriculum vitae and images of their creation. From this, 10 artists will be selected to strut their stuff on Saturday 9th March on the Stone Villa Studios runway. An artist’s fee of $200 will be paid to the exhibiting artists on the day, and the winner will receive a $1500 prize.
