It’s the pick of student schtick. After two months of state finals, it comes to this, the National Final of the Class Clowns competition at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival will be held at the Melbourne Town Hall in a matinee performance on Friday April 19 at 1.00pm.
Now in its 17th year, the national secondary school and workshop program combs the country through February and March to cultivate comedy talent and select the kids who get the gig for the gags to take them to be top of the class clowns in the country.
