As COAG meets, fears emerge that the new school funding regime will fail to deliver teachers for the  arts curriculum promised in Creative Australia.


As the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) sits in Canberra today to do a deal on the Gonski education funding reforms, arts educators across the country are worried. There are widespread fears that the new structure, which moves funding out of the tertiary sector to schools, will make it impossible to deliver effectively the arts education changes promised in the National Cultural Policy, Creative Australia.
