At least two magnesium flares were lit in the moshpit at Soundwave in Sydney on Sunday 24 February.

After initial reports of people being badly burned, NSW police have confirmed that three people were treated by St Johns Ambulance for minor burns after the flares were fired.

Film footage of at least two flares has been captured on YouTube. The first flare has been lit by a male sitting on someone else’s shoulders during the Metallica set, and the second seems to have been thrown on top of the stage during Bring Me The Horizon.
