Opera Australia reveals Ring Cycle’s new conductor

Young Finnish conductor Pietari Inkinen has been appointed by Opera Australia as the new conductor for the Melbourne Ring Cycle, taking place of his Richard Mills after his unexpected resignation last month.


Inkinen will be be charged with the musical direction of the $15 million production, after Mills resigned citing lack of chemistry with the cast, as reported by The Australian.
