On the Move: departure from Black Swan, appointment at Bundanon

After five successful years at the helm, Black Swan Co-CEO and Artistic Director Clare Watson has announced she’s officially stepping down at the end of 2021.

Watson will continue her creative relationship with Black Swan into 2022, directing several major projects including an international tour of You Know We Belong Together, while also helping to ensure a seamless handover with her successor.

Richard Watts

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management. Richard is a life member of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, and was awarded the status of Melbourne Fringe Living Legend in 2017. In 2020 he was awarded the Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards' Facilitator's Prize.
