Simon Rees is hardly a new face for Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and its world renowned Len Lye Centre. From 2002-2004 he was the curator of contemporary art for the gallery on the New Zealand’s North Island.

It is this local knowledge together with his recent experience in European galleries that has returned him to New Plymouth at this important moment in the gallery’s history.
