Mount Buller Arts Association announced artist Christabel Wigley as the winner of the People’s Choice Award in the inaugural Mount Buller Sculpture Award.

The artist’s fascinating sculpture Irene, which is constructed from charred Cyprus and steel, garnered 20 per cent of the total People’s Choice votes, and she received a cash prize of $10,000 courtesy of Foodworks Mount Buller. Wigley, who hails from Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, also won the Monalto Sculpture Prize in 2012 after entering as a finalist from 2009-2011.
