It has been 10 years since the highly controversial ‘Tampa’ and ‘Children Overboard’ affairs that occurred directly prior to the 2001 election, and which heightened the debate about asylum seekers in Australia that has divided political parties and citizens.
On the eve of the 10th anniversary of these affairs, ABC1 will screen the documentary Leaky Boat, which will for the first time speak to the people directly involved.
