Higher wages for stage performers

Actors in Disney musicals will receive compensation for the use of their image in publicity, under a new agreement.

The Media Entertainment & Arts Alliance (MEAA) has signed an enterprise agreement covering performers in Disney stage musicals.

For chorus, the agreement increases the minimum rates of pay by about $100 a week. For leads, there is the advantage of pay for the use of their image in publicity.
