It took less than an hour for Apple to remove Benjamin Poynter’s A Permanent Save State from their App Store, after the tech giant deemed it inappropriate. According to Apple, the game didn’t meet the company’s App guidelines which include ‘Objectionable Content’ (16.1) and ‘Violence’ (15.3).

But Poytner told ArtsHub he believed that Apple cancelled the game because it explores suicides which occurred at a technology company that is a major supplier to Apple. ‘It was not going to look good on their part if my game exists in their store.’
