Eighteen people will appear before Geelong Magistrates Court this month charged with trying to gain entry to the festivals without a valid ticket. If convicted, they could face a maximum penalty of $2750 or six months in prison.

‘Aunty Meredith’ – the affectionate nickname for the overseer of the festival – sent an email out to its subscribers this morning alerting them to charges and reiterating its zero tolerance approach.
