Joining a handful of arts organisations offering no-interest loans to artists and projects, arts services and support organisation Guildhouse recently launched 50 for 50: Double the Love, a funding campaign to establish an interest-free loans for creative professionals.
Approaching its 50th year of operation, the organisation is aiming to raise $50,000 through the campaign with Creative Partnerships Australia’s PLUS 1 program set to double their fundraising efforts.
In addition to Guildhouse’s professional development programs, the interest-free loans will further the South Australian’s organisation support for craftspeople, visual artists and designers.
Access to no-interest loans can give creative professionals and start-up organisations a leg up in the industry, with many Artist Run Initiatives, start-ups, and individual practitioners needing finance to grow in the first instance.
Rae O’Connell, Executive Director, Guildhouse confirming that ‘a small investment can have big returns.’
