Schaller is a well-respected Melbourne based artist and founding member of the ROAR studios, which took the Melbourne art scene by storm in the 1980s with its its return to painting and figuration. Here was an inventive group of artists renowned for their use of bold colours and influenced by expressionism and primitivism, and Schaller was at the forefront.
