Antenna Documentary Festival extends its reach to include Melbourne and reveals a lineup which includes 25 Australian premieres.

Now showing in both Sydney and Melbourne, Antenna’s 2013 program includes 31 films from 20 countries plus film competitions, international guests and a retrospective from documentary filmmaker Kim Longinotto.

Highlights include The Captain and His Pirate (Germany, 2012),  the story of a German freighter under siege by Somali pirates. Throughout the ordeal an unusual and unexpected friendship develops between captain and pirate. Guests will be able to meet The Captain, Krysztof Kotiuk, as part of a Q&A session at the festival.
