Persistence pays off: Green light for Newcastle Art Gallery’s $35.6M expansion

After two knock-backs, and 16-years of lobbying, Newcastle Art Gallery gets green light for $35.6M expansion project, which will double its space.

A few days ago, Newcastle City Council (NCC) signed off on committing fund for the long awaited expansion of Newcastle Art Gallery.

Both had not been received well, with the second proposal concluded with the return of a $7 million grant to the Federal Government.
