Nearing the Edge!

"Arts funding is an issue that is always high on the arts agenda; how to deliver it, finding a balance and developing creative and workable funding solutions proves to be a fine and delicate art in itself, particularly with so many stakeholders to be considered." The Pacific Edge is Regional Arts Australia’s fifth biennial National Conference. Hosted by Queensland Arts Council on behalf of Regional Arts Australia and in partnership with Mackay City Council, The Pacific Edge is set to take place between the 15 > 17 September, 2006 in Mackay Queensland. Join Arthur Frame, CEO/ Artistic Director of Queensland Arts Council and Artistic Director of The Pacific Edge, as he takes you to the ‘inside of the edge’.

It seems as if it were only yesterday when registrations opened and now with over 650 delegates registered to attend, we have reached the opposite end of the continuum. With the event capped at 750 there are less than 100 places left. For those who want to be taken to the edge of the arts, there is still time to register however I urge you to get in quick! And don’t forget to complete your session preferences when you register as sessions are filling up very fast indeed.
