First Nations and POC writers envision a new Australia

A new anthology written by First Nations and POC writers speculates on our nation’s future. ArtsHub spoke with featured author Claire G. Coleman and poet Omar Sakr on their contributions, and the current protests occurring.

A timely collection of speculative fiction and poetry by twelve electrifying Australian First Nations and POC writers and thinkers, After Australia explores current institutionalised systemic issues faced in our society such as police brutality, cultural erasure, immigration, and many others.

Edited by award-winning author Michael Mohammed Ahmad (The Lebs 2018) with the original concept by Executive Director, Diversity Arts Australia, Lena Nahlous, After Australia is an anthology that envisions Australia heading towards the year 2050, and the current circumstances that led there.
