Chamber music alliance commits to strengthening artform

Building opportunities for its member ensembles, Chamber Music Adelaide also grows audiences by presenting performances in unusual locations.

Given Adelaide’s reputation as a festival city, the creation of Festivals Adelaide – a coordinating body for the city’s 11 major festivals – makes absolute sense. But why an alliance of chamber music ensembles?

‘So Arts South Australia commissioned a report and the resulting proposal was to set up an umbrella body that could support these seven to eight ensembles, primarily through marketing and scheduling and advice.’
