Janet Echelman’s light work for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation headquarters in Seattle integrated the structure into the artwork.

While our cities have always dedicated spaces to public art, a trend that has been growing globally, there remains little resolution how to better bring artists into the development stage of our urban centres.
