The registrar in a cultural institution implements the policies and procedures for the storage, packing, and movement of artworks and objects. This is generally divided between the museum’s own collection and those artworks temporarily coming into the gallery for exhibition, and is a role that is usually split in larger institutions into two separate jobs.
