$2 million for ANZAC art

Arts funding has been cut but there is a way to get funding for art out of the Federal Government: choose a military subject.

In an announcement from the Attorney General’s Department this week (8 July), Minister for the Arts, Senator George Brandis, and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC, Senator Michael Ronaldson, described the Public Grants as a way to ‘tell the story of Anzacs and how their sacrifice shaped our nation.’
