Which stories are considered worthy of being shared on our stages, and whose lives are too often relegated to the margins? And in an algorithmically-polished market where aesthetics are dialled towards aspirational upper class fantasies of excess, when do we actually see the realities of working class lives, represented with dignity?
Their world is one defined by economic pressure, limited opportunity and long working hours. It is also one filled with love, ambition, humour and the complicated business of trying to build a better life.
