Textile and Art Designer (Full time Only)
Juslink is looking for a full-time Textile Designer: with amazing hand drawing skills, make trend-leading prints to be used on home fashion in AUSTRA

Qualifications & experiences

A degree in fashion/textile design or similar
-
Excellent hand painting and hand drawing skills required
-
High level of technical skills and extensive experience using Illustrator and Photoshop

The ability to follow design briefs and work to deadlines
-
The ability to create artwork in repeat
-
Have an eye for colour and pattern and strong attention to detail

Good communication skills and past experience working directly with customers (very important)
Tasks & responsibilities
-
Designing home textiles (all soft furnishing within the home) artwork for print, jacquard and embroidery

This position will require substantial amount of hand-drawn, hand painted designs
-
This position requires you to work full time from our office as there are many hands on work required such as sample review, fabric design and evaluation, printing artworks, and collaboration with other designers and other team members

Researching trends (WGSN, Overseas travels and etc) and ideas and staying up to date with design trends

Be involved in the creation of seasonal trendboards and interpretation of major retail brand’s inhouse trendboards

Putting together sampling, and production specifications for production teams located globally for artwork, strike offs and sampling

Working working both internal sales/design teams, as well as working with external customer’s buying and product teams on home textile product design and development

Some travelling opportunities – interstate to meet clients and understand clients design briefs and presentations, and overseas for production facility visits and/or overseas market research

Full time in office only
Our designers work full time in the office studio, because this job requires on-site product development, touching feeling and looking at new fabrics and samples.

Hand drawing experiences are a must!
