Technical Supervisor

As part of Theatre Royal Sydney's Back of House team, you will help deliver exceptional experiences for our stakeholders in a world-class venue.

Due to a departmental restructure, we are seeking two Part-Time Technical Supervisors to join our Back of House team.

The Technical Supervisor plays a key role in the technical delivery of Theatre Royal Sydney, supporting the Deputy and Technical & Building Services Managers to maintain the venue and its systems to the highest standards. The role is responsible for supporting venue hirers to deliver high-quality productions safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

This position carries Chief Warden responsibilities and requires demonstrated expertise in lighting, sound, or staging, supported by a relevant qualification or at least five years’ experience in a similar role.

We are looking for a proactive, solutions-focused professional who can work independently, contribute positively to a close-knit team, and build strong relationships with a diverse range of people.

The role requires strong electrical knowledge, competency in basic plumbing, maintenance and carpentry tasks, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
