Midsumma—Australia’s premier LGBTQIA+ arts organisation—seeks a senior Program Manager to lead festival programming and year-round initiatives while our permanent PM is on leave. You’ll shape the 2026 season across our curated Midsumma Presents, open-access program, and major events including Carnival and Pride March, working closely with the Chief Executive and a passionate cross-functional team.
You will:

Curate and deliver a balanced, innovative program across multiple artforms.

Build and steward artist, venue, community and partner relationships.

Oversee timelines, budgets and program content for print and digital.

Collaborate on large-scale outdoor events with Production & Operations.

Lead seasonal staff, placements and volunteers; track outcomes and reporting.
You bring:

Proven multi-arts programming/curation experience and sector knowledge.

Outstanding communication, stakeholder and project management skills.

Commitment to access, inclusion and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Confidence with MS Office; familiarity with Eventotron/Red61 valued.
Some evening/weekend work during festival delivery will be required.
