Musica Viva Australia
Philanthropy Coordinator
A rewarding philanthropy opportunity within a friendly, purpose‑driven organisation offering hybrid and flexible work.
Musica Viva Australia relies on the generosity of its supporters to help bring its mission to life: a music-rich future for all Australians, through exemplary performances, education programs, new works, and opportunities for young musicians.
The Development team now seeks a Philanthropy Coordinator who will play crucial role in supporting Musica Viva Australia’s philanthropic activities through donor engagement, database support, communications, and administrative duties.
Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager you will be responsible for:
Philanthropy – Process all contributions, receipts and correspondence in accordance with the Donor Acknowledgement Policy, updating and assisting in listings, strategies and campaign delivery.
Database Management (Tessitura) – Maintain a high level of database management by assessing and building database capabilities, creating custom lists and extracts, ensuring the accuracy of records, and capturing key interactions with donors and prospects.
Communications, Events and Administration – Attend concerts, salons, school performances and other events to support donor engagement. Work with the Philanthropy Specialist and Marketing & Communications team to prepare content for all Development requirements. Ensure website and all consumer-facing information is up to date. Write, manage and distribute various electronic communications through Wordfly.
With demonstrated experience in written communication, managing relationships, and strong organisational skills, ideally gained in the arts or the broader not for profit sector, the successful candidate will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an attention to detail, and high emotional intelligence.
