ILA is seeking expressions of interest from creative directors, producers, and progressive-thinking individuals for the role of Executive Producer.

About ILA

ILA is Adelaide’s home for immersive light and art.  A multi-faceted venue that provides transformative experiences by combining hospitality, live performance and visual arts with digital interactive technology, it is the only venue of its kind in Australia.

Across this unique venue of four floors is Aurora fine dining and hospitality, a dedicated immersive functions and events space with 50sqm of digital LED screens, The Light Room Bar, Gallery and Studio where an additional 150sqm of digital LED screens take visitors on interactive immersive journey, and two floors of office space housing arts and creative businesses, ‘The Hub’.

About the role of Executive Producer

The role of Executive Producer would suit someone with commercial sensibility, who can develop and implement a strategic program of arts, entertainment and tourism offerings. The incumbent will have demonstrated experience in budget and financing projects and transforming creative IP into unique immersive experiences with box office viability through engaging with local, national and international creatives. The Executive Producer will also manage a team programming and production team.

We’re looking for someone who understands the power of storytelling—and how visual art, live performance, and creative content can connect with audiences, especially when combined with digital immersive technology.

If you have a proven track record in any of the following:

• Leading creative and production teams, managing resourcing requirements and mentoring and inspiring staff.
• Developing and managing budgets within a complex organisation, including working to secure investment and funding.
• Developing a creative vision and overseeing the process within an organisation to bring it to fruition.
• Working with creative, commercial and educational partners to bring bold, new experiences to life.
• Employing significant curatorial ability to balance a program of immersive experiences that is accessible to a wide range of audiences, with commercial success.
• Contract negotiation.
• A technical understanding of digital immersive experiences, and the expectation of high production values
