Circa
Executive Director
One of the world’s leading performing arts companies is looking for its next Executive Director.
Circa exists to move the world. Fuelled by our values of quality, audacity and humanity, we deliver 400 performances annually in 15+ countries. We create work seen by millions, partner with some of the world’s leading festivals and venues, and continue to redefine what circus can be.
Now we are entering the next chapter.
As Executive Director, you will be one of three executives leading the company alongside CEO & Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz and Executive Producer & COO Danielle Kellie.
This is not a traditional arts management role.
You will lead the commercial heart of a global cultural enterprise: sales, business development, philanthropy, finance, governance and strategic growth.
You will negotiate with major international presenters, cultivate philanthropic investment, oversee a $10 million organisation and help shape the future of one of Australia’s most internationally recognised performing arts companies.
We are looking for someone who understands that commercial excellence and artistic ambition are not opposing forces but partners.
You may come from the arts. You may come from a commercial environment. What matters is that you have successfully grown organisations, built revenue, led teams, managed complexity and earned the trust of boards, partners and stakeholders.
This is a rare opportunity to help lead an Australian cultural institution at a moment of significant ambition.
