Communications and Marketing Manager

Lead Communications, Marketing and Events for The AMC in a part time, flexible 4 day/week role supported by a small and collaborative team.

Who we are

The Australian Music Centre (AMC) is the national service organisation dedicated to the promotion and support of art music in Australia.  Our mission is to present the ever-evolving variety of Australian Art music to the world and support a sustainable environment for our creators. We do this through flexible, responsive and agile services which connect Australian creators to their audiences, enabling access and engagement. We also manage a unique collection of resources including scores and recordings as we continue to cultivate critical historical information of our Australian Art Music history.

The opportunity

As our Communications and Marketing Manager, you will be key in leading the development and execution of our communications and marketing strategies.   Supported by the CEO and small team, you will lead, create and implement our communications and marketing plan which includes social media management, EDMs, membership marketing, media liaison, website content management and editorial management of Resonate, online magazine.

In addition, you will have opportunity to;

·       Coordinate a suite of events such as the Art Music Awards, Momentum PLUS recording project and the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Address

·       Create social media content, digital assets, and other branded marketing collateral

·       Lead our website transition and development of content

·       Continue to develop and enhance our fundraising strategy

Experience we’re looking for:

·       Degree or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Music or related

·       A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in communications in an arts environment

·       General knowledge of Australian Art music

·       Excellent communication and editing skills

·       Experience managing campaigns and events

·       Technologically proficient and sound understanding of movements in the digital world including content and file management systems, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, Monday.com

·       Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent problem-solving skills
