Your role

Our investment programs play a crucial role in nurturing and empowering talented artists, cultural organisations, and projects across a wide range of disciplines. As our Assessment Officer, you will be at the heart of this process, ensuring that our assessments are transparent, unbiased and of the highest quality.

In your role, you will work closely with our dedicated team, industry advisors and peers to facilitate the assessment of applications. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating the assessment process, providing guidance and support to all involved, and ensuring that our assessments adhere to the highest standards. Your keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a range of diverse stakeholders will be key to your success.

  • Hybrid work arrangement (two days’ work from home and three days from our office)
  • Salary package of $86,578 per annum + 15.4% superannuation

What does success look like?

  • Supporting and engaging with artists and arts professionals from around the country as you manage the end-to-end recruitment and engagement of peer assessors and industry advisors
  • Organising panels of peer assessors and industry advisors with relevant skills and experience to assess applications to investment programs
  • Ensuring assessment panels reflect diversity in artistic practices, roles, and representation
  • Providing advice on our Application Management System

What we need from you

  • Demonstrated ability to support complex and diverse relationships in the arts
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability in managing logistics and processes to a high standard
  • Proactive team player with the ability to actively contribute to team-based work
  • Proven experience in providing high level administrative support
  • Knowledge and appreciation of the arts
