Queensland music trail receives $20M investment

Slated to launch in 2023, the Queensland Music Trails will combine live performance with unique regional destinations to invigorate the sector.

Today (14 June), the Queensland Government announced $20 million in funding for Queensland Music Festival’s music trail aimed at strengthening the state’s live performance scene ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

With the funding to carry across the first three years of the Queensland Music Trails starting 2023, the initiative expects to create at least 800 new opportunities upon its launch for Queensland artists and arts workers.
