Re-thought, refitted and reopening: 3 museums for change

The new WA Museum, the Chau Chak Wing Museum, and major refurbishments to the Australia Museum are all unveiled this week – forever altering Australia's cultural landscape.

There are moments on the cultural landscape that feel seismic. This is one of those weeks.

The long awaited WA Museum – a new signature venue for Perth – will open its doors, as does the Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney – which rethinks the past in educating a next generation, while the Australian Museum (also in Sydney) reveals a major facelift to receive the world’s great blockbuster and catapult audience engagement to a new level.
