Floods devastate Northern Rivers arts community

Floods associated with the aftermath of Cyclone Debbie have caused sector-wide destruction.

Artists and arts organisations in northern NSW have been hard hit by recent flooding linked to tropical Cyclone Debbie.

The impact in Lismore has been especially devastating. Arts venues, studio spaces and arts company archives are among the resources that have been lost in the natural disaster.

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management.
