We live in a world that has become rapidly globalised. The result is a cacophony of cultures; a melding of art and ideas. Sometimes this diversity blends harmoniously. But not always. 

Arising from this situation is the question of cultural appropriation – the idea of borrowing from a culture in a way that reinforces historically exploitative relationships.
