This week’s appointments

There have been some significant changes in the sector this week and some long serving people are making their move.

After five years as Malthouse Chair, Simon Westcott will be pursuing new business ventures in Asia. In his place, Malthouse Board member Michele Levine has been appointed to the role of Chair for 2014. Sarah Neal has also been appointed Executive Producer of Malthouse Theatre in 2014. Frank Howarth will step down from the Australian Museum after 10 years as Director. Howarth was quick to rule out retirement, indicating that he will remain as President of Museums Australia and a Trustee of the Australian Museum and Lizard Island Foundations, as well as seeking other roles in the arts, culture and science sectors.
