Royalists will proudly recall Price Charles’ struggles in the bush. The 16-year-old heir to the British throne was sent high into Australian bush country northeast of Melbourne to Timbertop, to become one of Timbertop’s “young old boys”.

Geelong Grammar, regarded by the British Royal family as the Australian Eton, continues the program today, now gender inclusive and sending hoardes of teens each year to a “struggle for survival” year long bush camp.
