Seven Australian artists receive $80,000 fellowships

Artists, writers, musicians and theatre makers have been supported by AusCo to undertake creative activity, research and professional development.

Seven of Australia’s most accomplished artists, across diverse art forms, have awarded the highly sought after Australia Council Fellowships.

Dave Brown, Alison Croggon, Lucas Ihlein, Debby Maziarz, Kate Miller Heidke, Andrew Morrish and Justene Williams will each receive $80,000 over two years to undertake creative activity, research and professional development. 

Australia Council Chief Executive Officer Tony Grybowski congratulated the recipients of this year’s fellowships and paid tribute to the outstanding body of work each had already produced in their respective art forms.
