The Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) series has previously featured companies from Germany and Russia, with this year’s tour by the Bolshoi Ballet described as ‘about a $3 million risk’ by QPAC Director John Kotzas.

In its first ever visit to Australia, American Ballet Theatre (ABT) will be performing two productions exclusively at QPAC: Swan Lake, choreographed by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie; and a triple bill featuring works by three of the greatest choreographers of the modern era: Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp and Alexei Ratmansky.
