On the move: latest arts sector appointments

Our weekly round-up of Australian arts sector comings and goings.

Several new Board Members have joined Hunter Writers’ Centre, setting the direction for the next stage of the Centre’s development. They are: writer and producer Vanessa Alexander; writer, storyteller and grassroots consultant Jess Baker; writer and performer Helen Hopcroft; writer and filmmaker Jamie Lewis; and writer, podcaster and lawyer Lauren O’Brien.

Returning to the Board as Chair is writer and poet Glenn Stuart Beatty. Additional returning Board members are writer, publisher, editor, critic and educator Ed Wright as Vice-Chair; researcher, academic, writer and editor Jon Drane as Treasurer; and arts patron Rosmairi Dawson as Secretary.

Richard Watts OAM is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM. Richard is a life member of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, a Melbourne Fringe Festival Living Legend, and was awarded the Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards' Facilitator's Prize in 2020.
